Two of our middle school students are finalists in Cobb County's 2017 KidTalk Competition. The students are very passionate about their message, "I'm committed to impacting my world, community, and/or school by..." Tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 8, is a holiday for students.
Progress Reports will be distributed next Monday, Nov. 14. Conference Week--Oct. 17-21: All students will be dismissed at 2:15 this week. Click here for the schedule for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students are encouraged to attend conferences with their parents to discuss their progress and goals. Eighth graders will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct. 19, so the schedule will vary slightly that day. Click here for the schedule. IMPORTANT: If you have not receive an email via SignUpGenius, please contact your child's third period teacher. All ELA classes will be going to the media center the week of Oct. 3. They will be learning the basics of MLA which will be used throughout high school and college. Additionally, they will be learning how to write a Works Cited page for an upcoming research project. Bring your library books, so you can renew or return them and check out new books. |
